Christmas Season

I can't believe how much Abbey has changed in the last 3 months, she has become such a good sister, and really a funny girl! She has been watching Kung Fu Panda, and now thinks she is a ninja.. watch out cause if you see her she might karate chop you while saying hiya! She is either a ninja or chasing you around the house saying "I'll get you, you dirty pirate" Where she came from I am not quite sure, but this little girl likes to play with the boys! She is so sweet and lovey though too.. every night i get big hugs and kisses and she tells me she "loves me sooo much"

Pete Severinsen and Zoo Lights

My sweet sister Ashley had her 2nd little boy Peter Severinsen!! He is such a cutie and he was a big boy weighing in at 8lbs 15oz!! Her and her babe are doing good!!

We went to Zoo Lights while the same day we went and saw Pete, I was holding Lucy while my brother was taking pictures thats why there is not very many!! Most of them were retarded.. thanks to my teenage brother!!

He was a great help in keeping track of Abbey cause the zoo was jam packed with people! It was fun though!

A Beautiful Blessing

We blessed Lucy the weekend after Thanksgiving, it was such a great day, the weather was so perfect, and we had alot of our familys come, and it was such a good day:) The men who stood in the circle were Laner, Landon, Ron (Lane's Dad), My Dad, and my Grandpa Cowley (which was so special to me!)

6 Weeks

I can't believe it's only been 6 weeks our world is totally adjusted, and we have the sweetest little girl!! She is such a calm baby, i can count on one hand how many times she has had a freak out last longer than 4 minutes.. she eats good (she is 12 lbs) sleeps good and is all around a pretty happy baby:) I have to say that I have gotten really lucky, both Abbey and Lucy have been really good babies! I am really enjoying this stage that both my girls are in! Its so fun to see them change! Lucy is starting to smile and she loves to stare at Abbey!

2 Weeks

2 weeks ago, our little world changed and I feel like we are really getting adjusted, it has been a really long 2 weeks, but we have survived, and things are really good, Abbey is doing really really good with Lucy, her little temper tantrums are slowing down, and I feel like she is back to her normal self (at least for today) The picture below pretty much sums up the last 2 weeks, except Lane has been at work since I got home from the hospital :( so it has been just me for the most part (I have had a lot of help from my mom, my grandma and Ashley) I feel like i can now take both the girls out and we can go places alone!!

We went to a pumpkin patch just a couple minutes from our house on Monday, its so fun, its a bunch of old guys who run the place, not a woman in sight helping out and they are so great, they love taking all the kids out and its so fun!! We grew our own pumpkins this year, so we didn't pick any, but we loved going on the wagon ride, and they had a little train that the kids could go on, Abbey didn't want to get off!! She kept looking all over for tigers and monkeys with her "binoculars" (see the picture above)

Lucy is doing awesome, she is sleeping for about 4 hours at night, and I feel really great!! We went to her 2 week check up and she gained about a pound and a half since we left the hospital, she was born at 8 lbs 11 oz.. when we left the hospital she was 8 lbs 3 oz, and today she was 9 lbs 8 oz!! She is doing so good!! She is eating like a champ, and for the most part is such a happy baby!! We are all loving her!

Lucy May Owens

Miss Lucy May is here:) She was born October 6 weighing in at 8lbs 11oz and 21 inches long! It was a long day, but definatly ended in a great way! I was induced at 7 am and dialated pretty quickly, when it came time to push, she just wasn't coming.. so they tried the vaccum that didn't work, then they tried the forecepts, that didn't work so finally my dr said we were going to have to do a c-section!! It was not so fun, hurt much worse then when I had Abbey, and the meds they gave me didn't last the whole time, so as they were stitching me up i started to feel it! But at the end of the night we got a sweet little girl who is such a happy baby, and sleeps pretty good.. 4 hrs. at a time, I am a happy mommy!! Abbey seems to be adjusting pretty well, she loves her sister and thinks she is so cute!

Summer Fever

 have been really bad at blogging, honestly i haven't wanted to at all!! We have been having a really great summer so far! We planted a garden with peas, corn, carrots, onions, squash and tomatos.. they are all growing like crazy, and Abbey and I go out there every night and snack on peas and carrots.. if you ask her where carrots come from she says my back yard (sometimes.. she makes me look like a liar)

We have also went boating alot in the last couple weeks.. I love it, i love sitting out on the boat with my mom and Ken, and Lane and Abbey sleeping and us just talking and laughing and just really enjoying each others company! Abbey got a fishing pole for her birthday and she just thinks that is the coolest thing that has ever happened to her on the boat.. she casts it, and reels it in all day long.. she thinks its pretty fun to push me in the water, and I like it too.. its the only way lately that i can get cool! We went over to my moms and roasted marshmallows after the lake one night, and I realized as my daughter was running at the fire with 2 marshmallows on her stick that she is a big girl now! She is doing things all by herself now, its a strange thing, but also so great, I really love letting her play outside and just wander and figure out what everything is.. she loves bugs and thinks that they are pretty cool when they crawl on her.. i think its grose, and when she wants me to hold them it makes me sick.. especially earwigs.. thats right she picks those grose bugs up and says look mom cute!! Everyone tells me that when this baby comes Abbey will be so big compared to her, and i know she will, but she is big enough! I feel like we have really hard days where i just want to put her in her in the closet.. and other days where she just wants to sit on my lap and kiss me all day! I love her, she is so sweet, she is very protective of her family and their things.. we let our friend borrow her baby car seat and her pack and play, and she was so sad.. it was her sisters and she didn't want Gerri to take it! She is going to be so protective of this babe, i can tell already! She loves babys and everytime she hears one crying she says oh no baby crying! She has such a tender little heart, and I hope she always has that! She is also so creative.. she is always helping me plant flowers, move stuff around to make it look better.. She got some fingerpaints, and i just let her go crazy.. this little girl was swimming in the paint... had gotten completly naked, and was sitting in it! Its so fun to just let them get dirty.. and man does she do that well!!

We had a birthday party for Abbey and my cousin Jamie the other night.. we only got a few pictures..

Someone's 2

I can't believe she is already 2, we had a bittersweet birthday celebration for her! Lane's Grandpa Owens died a little over a week ago, and we found out that the funeral was going to be in California, we weren't sure if we were going to be able to go, but Lane's whole family decided to go together, and make a little vacation out of it!! We left last thursday night, and got there early friday morning (Abbey's b-day) most of the day was spent at the cemetery where they had a really great funeral, and we then went to Lane's uncle Warrens house (my dream house) where they had a lucheon. He has a beautiful back yard the nicest pool i have ever seen at anyone's house! So after everyone left we spent the rest of the day playing in the pool and had a really great time just spending time together, and remembering his grandpa's life and celebrating Abbeys future:) it was really nice to meet some of lane's family i have never met... i will get pictures from his mom!

We were outside playing the other day, and i snapped some pictures of Abs for her 2 year birthday, she is just getting so beautiful and really turning into my little friend!
